French Art Nouveau bronze group of 5 Peacocks – Les Cinq Paons. A charming piece that shows the 5 Peacocks on and around a wall. Fine detail and a very elegant piece. Signed to the side Larregieu – Fulbert Pierre Larregieu. French c 1880

History

Fulbert Pierre Larregieu (died 1886) was a 19th-century French sculptor known for his detailed bronze and wax works, often featuring animals and historical figures. Active in the late 1800s, his work appeared at the Paris Salon in 1877. He was known for producing high-quality bronze sculptures, frequently depicting animals such as a bloodhound (“Bloodhound se grattant l’oreille”) and peacocks.
