Following major lobbying efforts and submissions against US import tariffs on Antiques and earlier proposals of the US administration, the new measures provide for the following specific exemptions from the latest US import tariffs:

exclusion of all Chapter 97 items, regardless of age (works of art, collectors’ items and antiques)

continuation of the Informational Materials exception (which exclude books and works of art)
This means that any item that can be categorised using US HTS codes that begin with “97” are exempted.
